TubTime Privacy Policy

Keeping TubTime simple, private, and family-friendly.

TubTime's core bath and shower logging works offline on your device. It does not require a TubTime account, cloud sync, or a TubTime backend to store your family data. Buying or restoring TubTime Plus requires Google Play and internet access.

What TubTime does

TubTime helps families track baths and showers using a playful duck-themed experience with reminders, streaks, XP, badges, and local child profiles.

Data collection

TubTime does not collect personal data from users into a backend server controlled by us, and does not send app usage data to us. The app accesses and stores the local information needed to run TubTime on the user's device.

Data stored on your device

TubTime stores app data locally on the device, such as:

This information is used only to make the app function for the user on that device.

Data sharing

TubTime does not sell user data and does not share personal data with third parties for advertising.

Purchases

TubTime Plus is a one-time, non-consumable Google Play purchase, not a subscription. Google Play displays the current local price before payment. Buying or restoring Plus requires Google Play and internet access. TubTime Plus purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. TubTime uses Google Play Billing to show purchase options, check whether TubTime Plus is active, and unlock paid features. We do not receive or store payment card details.

Notifications

If enabled, TubTime uses local device notifications to remind users about wash timing. These notifications are generated on-device.

Children

TubTime is intended to be used by families. We recommend that a parent or guardian manages settings, purchases, and profile setup.

Security

TubTime stores family data locally on your device. Android or other platform backups may copy app data according to your device and account settings; TubTime does not provide its own cloud sync.

Data retention

TubTime retains local app data on the device until the user deletes it, resets it, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Because TubTime does not run user accounts, cloud sync, or our own backend server, we do not keep a server copy of wash history, child profile names, reminder settings, XP, streaks, badges, or other local app progress.

If the device owner uses Android, Google, or other platform backup tools, copies of local app data may be retained in those backups according to the user's device and account settings. Google Play purchase records are retained by Google according to Google's own policies; TubTime only stores and checks the local premium unlock state needed to enable TubTime Plus features.

Data deletion

Parents can delete individual wash entries from History, delete extra child profiles from Parents > General, and use Parents > About > App Data > Reset TubTime to clear local wash history, levels, streaks, and extra family profiles. The Parents area uses a simple parent question.

To delete all local TubTime app data, including settings stored by Android for the app, the user can use Android Settings > Apps > TubTime > Storage > Clear storage, or uninstall TubTime from the device. If Android or Google backup is enabled, the user may also need to manage or delete app backup data through their device or Google account backup settings.

TubTime does not create app accounts and does not store user data on our servers, so there is no server-side account data for us to delete. For deletion questions, contact matthewcoxall@googlemail.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated in future versions of the app. The latest version should be made available in the app listing.
